The Beginning
Brance Indirik began his rise among the ranks of nobility in the Theocracy of Morek, and the island of Dwilight. He arrived in the realm with the first founding wave of settlers. He quickly gained recognition in the realm as the first Viscount of Linhai. As a noble of Morek he was also introduced to the Blood Stars, and the religion of Sanguis Astroism.
Astrum
When the expansion of Morek was well underway, Brance began to look toward the western shores as a way to expand the influence and following of the Blood Stars. His gaze found the prosperous trade city of Libidizedd. After discussions with the Prophet of Sanguis Astroism and the Grandmaster of Morek, Brance became determined to form a new colony on the island. The first colony expedition failed. Infestations of monsters on the Mimer peninsula proved to be too heavy, and the colonist's forces were nearly eradicated. A second colony attempt was able to must their forces, avoid many of the monster groups, and successfully fight the few they could not escape. The colony attempt was successful, and lead to the founding of the theocracy of Astrum. The first ruler of Astrum, Vasila Alexandria Dwarvenite, appointed Brance as the first Duke of Libidizedd in recognition of his initiative and efforts in planning the colony.
A Visit from the Prophet
Holy Prophet Mathurin Hossenfeffer stopped briefly in Libidizedd to visit the new realm he had endorsed, and to which he had contributed church funds. You can read about the visit.
Falconry
Since his childhood Brance has pursued the noble sport of falconry. During his time in Morek as Viscount of Linhai he became quite accomplished at hunting with falcons. Upon departing for the colonization of Libidizedd, Brance was forced to leave his falcons and hawks behind. Much to his surprise, the locals in Libidizedd had knowledge of the sport of falconry. To his amazement they had even had some success with the use of the Sea Eagle in falconry. Brance became enamored of the idea of using the Sea Eagle, and began to train his own eagle for the hunt.
Fiduciary of Astrum
Brance announced his candidacy for the office of Fiduciary (banker). When no other candidate presented themselves for consideration, he was appointed to the office by Vasila Alexandria Dwarvenite.
Bandit Attack
While returning from trade mission to purchase food from Caiyun, Brance was set upon by a group of bandits in Nimh. He managed to fight them off single handed.

Once cold winter day, Brance met the Lady Anna Vasata for a hunting trip. The trip started out normal, but quickly took a turn for the worse.
Vasilif of Astrum
Citing several issues with the treatment of Astrum and Sanguis Astroism in general, Vasilif Rowan Geronus declared war on Averoth, and Astrum marched to war in the north. In a surprise move, Caerwyn broke their federation with Astrum and attacked in the south while Astrum was occupied in the north. During a particularly vicious battle, Vasilif Rowan was killed. Brance stepped forward, and was elected in a landslide vote. Brance lead Astrum through the war against Averoth and Caerwyn, securing the aid of the Morek Empire, Corsanctum, and Summerdale. Averoth was destroyed in a massive assault on their fortress capital of Valkyrja. Astrum, Morek, and Corsanctum then turned to south to deal with Caerwyn. Caerwyn made a desperate and futile stand in the townsland of Walefishire. They suffered a crushing defeat, allowing the allied forces to pillage and plunder across most of Caerwyn's vulnerable farmlands. Caerwyn suffered widespread, catastrophic starvation across most of their realm, particularly their capital of Golden Farrow. Before the allies could return in the spring, Caerwyn was effectively finished. Astrum moved in to occupy the devastated capital city. Despite the occupation of their capital city, and the ill-fated secession of the duchy of Itau, Caerwyn refused to surrender, choosing to die instead. Without too much regret, Brance left Caerwyn to die while Astrum moved in to occupy the duchy of Golden Farrow.
The Formation of Iashalur and Kabrinskia
While the war progressed in the south, Astrum worked to regain lost territory in the north, and then expand further. When sufficient land had been pacified, the Gaston Duchy seceded to form the realm of Iashalur. This fulfilled Astrum's promise to aid the refugees of lost Niselur reform a new realm. Iashalur plans to slowly expand and claim the rogue lands in the north, with the eventual goal of reclaiming the grand city of Darfix, the one-time capital of Niselur.
In the south, Astrum expanded around the city of Golden Farrow. While Astrum was expanding, and on the verge of the secession of the city to form a new realm, Terran approached Astrum to press claims to former Caerwyn regions that Brance had planned to go to the new realm. For a while, it seemed as if war might break out between the two realms. War was avoided when Astrum broke off negotiations, claimed Demyansk for the new colony, and told Terran to "Keep out". Astrum officially left the negotiation of the southern border of the new realm to be handled by the realm itself, once they had been formally created.
Without further incident, Duchess Allison Kabrinski seceded from Astrum to form the theocracy of Kabrinskia. This fulfilled Astrum's obligations to Lady Allison and her followers for their help in the war against Caerwyn.
Astrum now aids both Kabrinskia and Iashalur in holding off the incessant monster and undead attacks, as both reals continue to grow and expand.
Brance is Dead
Toward the end of the war against Niselur and Asylon, Libidizedd went rogue due to massive starvation. Brance died in his camp outside the city, a victim of starvation and the rampant disease.
