The Great Battle of South Bakker

An account by Evil Revan, Knight of South Bakker



The Great Battle was a terrible loss for the Assassins, and also a prime example of Wetham cowardice. Wetham had been planning the attack for months, and hoped to catch us by surprise. We knew the attack was coming, but would never have been ready for it if it was not for Timarvay Moonseek, a Wetham noble disgusted with their violence who left Wetham to join the Assassins. Without his warning, our defeat would have been much worse.
When Wetham came, their forces were not much bigger than ours. With the Assassins having the palisade for defense, and a large force of highly trained militia, victory seemed a certainty. But before the battle, a Wetham infiltrator managed to sneak some strange potion into the food and drinks of most of our infantry. No doubt they had paid a witch to make this potion for the purpose of driving our men mad. Shortly into the battle, our infantry began to jump off the walls and charge the enemy. The rest of the nobles and I had no choice but to follow and try to regroup our men, but they were slaughtered. This suicide charge by our infantry lost us the battle, but even with our soldiers temporarily insane, we managed to inflict more casualties than they did.(OOC:Bug)
