| Two great battles were fought today over the region of Mansbrige, which was recently liberated from Ithilian control.
This morning, a large attack force numbering some 890 men from Minas Ithil stormed Mansbridge. Despite outnumbering us 3 to 1, though, The ithilians failed to mount a succesful attack, and were puched back by the Viking defenders. However, tired from killing so many southerners in just one morning, the defenders were outmatched come the second wave and were beaten.
Defender Victory! Huge Battle Fought (4 hours, 34 minutes ago) Rumours spread and tales are sung about a huge battle in Mansbridge: Minas Ithil vs. Norland Estimated strengths: 640 men vs. 220 men Attacker Victory!

| A Lost hero and a Valiant Stand

| During a battle in Hernepoole some days ago, Norland lost one of it's most valued and respected heroes, Fenrig Harkonnen, Duke of Brackhead. Fenrig was a brave, fearless leader of men, who had served Norland diligently and efficiently, and now serves in Asgard at Odin's side, to await the final war at the end of days. The Halls of Valhalla got brighter and merrier with his passing.
His body had since been returned to Norland and given a proper Viking send off, fitting a hero like Fenrig, who never wavered in his duty to his country. Though stricken by his lose, Norland managed to hold out against an assult from a combined Darka/Minas Ithil force that attacked the capital Brackhead recently. During the valiant stand, your favorite editor and mine, Smeagenwulf Graeven, was taken on a nice trip and given a tour of the insides of Darka's dungeons. It was a fine vacation, though the Darkans insisted I make myself comfortable and stay for a while before returning. They were pretty adamant about it, so being a good guest, I obliged. It's not that bad, food's a bit different then what I'm used to, But I like the minimalistic design of the cell. Very avantgarde. I've also made friends with some rats who hang around here, and they're alright. We agreed to write to each other when I leave. I like making friends. A 5 out of 9 on Smea's dungeon scale. |

| The rabbit loving Falasani, fresh from the poor showing on their part in a war against Cagilan Empire have decreed that they will defensively aiding Minas Ithil, to give themselves something to do (There words not ours) Well so far we've seen the Rabbits hopping over our bridge and into Mansbridge, our region. So one can only ascertain that they are defensively aiding the offensive actions of Minas Ithil, stupid indeed. "Minas Ithil arrived here mere minutes before us! Therefore we arrived to defend their army!" or some such tomfoolery. Anyway that's one lie exposed from Queen Ilya, though she did promised to try and send Norland some food should Minas Ithil allow. Yeah we're still waiting for news on that... And news on why they are in our lands offensively attacking us. |
| Shiverwood and Hernepoole rebel! Mansbridge becomes Womansbridge!

| The long term internal regions of Shiverwood and Hernepoole have finally rebelled due to tremendous pressure placed on them by Darka and Minas Ithil. Hernepoole had long been an extremely loyal region to Norland however the past few weeks pushed it over the edge. Though as Minas Ithil moved to refit we marched our Viking Brawlers and we cleaned up the region. Currently all that remains of the once might Norland is Brackhead and Ashmoor. Ashmoor under constant looting by Darka, however as if to mock them Ashmoor's stats continue to rise each turn until Darka hammers it back down. This is partly attributable to the steadfast work of its lord - Mick The Slasher. Now Mick The Slasher has been involved in many a scandal, most of which involving Ehre Konungr Squirrelypants, but one must admit he does a good job at bureaucratic work, natural for some one who hides in the shadows however.
Mansbridge ... A iconically Norland region, a great bottleneck and defence for our Vikingness. Turned rogue by the Ithil dogs of the south, now this would be acceptable to a degree, however once turned rogue by looting Minasland decided to run a Take Over, which sadly succeeded. So from now on we shall have to refer to it as Womansbridge, to represent its new master. |

| As reported by our Konungr Xaphan there has been a lot of talk on the rulers channel, first about the political situation of Atamara - where most of the continent is locked in a seemingly endless group hug of conglomerates. However there is hope for change as Cagilan Empire plans to secede Barad Falas to create the realm Coria. This is some small comfort to us as we watch our continent being swallowed up by conglomerates.
Another thing discussed at great lengths is Magna Serpaensism - A cult worshipping a "Snake God", whom those who have delved into Norse mythology has realised is actually Jörmungandr, Thor's arch foe, child of Loki. Many realms have now outlawed or discouraged the worship of this Serpaent due to its copious amount of involvement in plots to overthrow governments and other religions. In fact Magnus The Might, King Of Caergoth has announced that part of the reason why he is invading Minas Ithil is to halt the further expansion of Magna Serpaensism, which seems to have taken a home in Minas Ithil. Konungr Xaphan had this to say about it, "At one point, before the war with Minas Ithil the God's spoke to Konungr Krypton The Bold and those who serve with him in the Althing. They told them that a holy war was required against Minas Ithil as well as a war of reclamation. At the time we Norlander's assumed that meant a holy war against the Sun Worshippers of Athonlaurism, however with new intelligence coming to light I believe that what the God's had intended was for us to strike down the institutions of Minas Ithil long before Magna Serpaensism may spread across their lands and take a heart in their government. Naturally Norland shall back Magnus The Mighty in his campaign against Magna Serpaensism." |
