Geographic
Vatrona is a stronghold located at the Gate to the North. The ancient center of Vatrona is flanked by the Mountains of Jedinchel. It has long been a trading place for many goods, because of it's excellent situation between the North and the landlocked Sea of Vozzessdor. Unfortunately, the undead invasion halted trading, and Vatrona is just a shadow of what it once was.
Weather
Vatrona is a region with hot days in the summer, cold days in the winter. The mountains block the clouds in the summer, so the weather stays nice. But in the winter the clouds come down from the north, where there are no mountains to halt their inexorable march South. In the winter you get ice cold days. In January, even, it freezes all day long. That's is why alcoholic drinks are popular, when the people stay in the caves in the winter.
Economy
The monsters have been very devastating in Vatrona, and there is no economy left. The population is about 1800, and still growing. The maximum amount of people that can live in Vatrona is 5600, therefor it is more a military region.
Recent History
Vatrona has been a stronghold well wanted by several realms. Long time ago it was the capital of Ar Agyr. But since the latest invasion, Ar Agyr died and Vatrona got conquered by the monsters. It has been Rogue for a while, but Old Grehk has taken it (again). Now Vatrona is healing her wounds.
