To put the creation of Silverfall to any one reason would be difficult, as the four founding nobles each came for different reasons. Sir Darfix created the colony on his second attempt to forge a realm in the barren city across the Desert of Silhouettes, though Telamond is recognized by the Lurian government to be the first to officially attempt a colony in Sallowtown as he was the first to bring it up with Queen Alanna of Pian en Luries. This however did little to divide the founders from creating a colony in the desert and ridding the sands of the undead that plague them.

To many the desert city would be an inhospitable locale, the harsh desert and high mountains blocking all but the most durable clouds from bringing moisture from the east, and the central winds only rarely gracing the west coast with enough water to support but a limited amount of food. But for the few who live there, the desert provides anything that could be needed. The harsh desert keeps all but the most dedicated armies from the city and leaves those armies open to raids. The sea offers it's winds to the ships which bring resources to and from the city of Sallowtown, and also acts as a near-impregnable defense. Even the desert heat barely affects people of Silverfall, as their craftsmen have an amazing ability to create the strongest yet lightweight armors and cloaks to keep the heat out.

It is believed the people of Sallowtown are descended from the original people who lived in what is now the desert region, descended from the inhabitants of the Citadel of Ishkantar who left before the Cataclysm. The Citadel now lays in ruins beneath the harsh sands of the Desert of Silhouettes, though it is said that much of it still remains very much intact. Regardless of this, only the Wordbearers of the [[Ordo Concilium]] know the remaining entrances and they don't tell as to keep the ancient treasures of their faith protected.

Origins

To put the creation of Silverfall to any one reason would be difficult, as the founding nobles each came for different reasons. Some may pin the realms creation to the Lurian Civil War, though it's original conception dates back farther than that. Zanaras Tian created the realm shortly after the break away of Poryatown from Pian en Luries, the third attempt of the group to forge a realm in the Silhouette Badlands.

Regardless of this, only the Wordbearers of the Ordo Concilium know the remaining entrances and they don't tell as to keep the ancient treasures of their faith protected.
