Background

Little is known about the Sigurthr family and less so about the brothers Attius and Bailyhn. It seems they don't like to talk to people, much less to each other. What conclusions that can be drawn are gathered from the various bits and pieces of information heard in discussion aided by large amounts of ale, women or meat.

The family's name "Sigurthr” is derived from old Norse word “sigurdr”, meaning “guardian of victory”. It is believed this name is an allusion to the long lineage of warriors. It also alludes to where the family comes from, although the far white Nord is all that is known now.

The family motto on the shield of Bailyhn is

illa es telum vos donatus utor lemma facio nomo locus dignitas mortis pro

which translates as "these are the arms you are given, use them to make a name worth dying for.

The only family member worth finding is the Knight Bailyhn on the South East Continent. From what he has said Bailyhn has come to the South-East Continent, to fight for Toren and earn a place at his ancestors table in Annwn. However, soon after this annoucement he promptly fell in to a barrel of ale, so its truthfullness is suspect. What is true is the ugly mugs dimwitted and thickheadedness. Even as all seems lost for Toren, the fool still marches to orders

The other acknowledged family member is his brother Attius, a rather dull, dim witted and not very exciting individual. He rejected the worthy career of war for the weenie pursuit of religion. Noble as his intentions may be, because of his foolish pursuit of some higher knowledge he won't be sitting at any table in Annwn worth mentioning. Thus little else will probably ever be said of him ... ever. Unless he does somthing foolish and dies a painful death, then it will be good riddence and the discussion will likely involve pointing and laughing... over ale.
