A great battle was fought before the walls of Nahad between Greater Aenilia and Arcaea. The Arcaeans were driven back before the walls by the Aenilian forces- the holy Paladin Xarnelf breaking through the enemy lines and sundering their formation.

The great lords and ladies moved on towards Arcaean lands, engaged in preparations for further battles to come. Behind them followed by baseborn adventurers searching through the dreck of battle. One such adventurer was Aeth Huntsmaster; he didn't realize it, but he was a distant bastard cousin of one of the nobles who had fought at Nahad and he apparently had inherited something of her lucky nature. He had traveled to Nahad to fight undead in the wake of the great battle. While resting in the woods nearby, he noticed an odd-looking and obviously long-forgotten weapon embedded in a streambank. Prying it clear and rinsing it clean in the flowing water, he beheld the Legendary Club of Doom. Made of solid ash with a head flecked with some dark volcanic glass, it made Aeth feel more powerful just holding it.

Aeth quickly sold the club to Moses McGahee, an Knight from the Principality of Zonasa who was returning home from the fighting with Arcaea.
