The House Da Hadez originates in the realm of Darka on the continent of Atamara.
Karith Da Hadez
Background
The son of the late Luchia Garilith, cavalry trainer and stable mistress to the House Da Hadez, Karith grew up as an accomplished rider and cavalryman and despite his youth often rode as an unofficial scout or 'runner' in Darkan border patrols. Upon the death of his mother he was adopted by Baron Severn Da Hadez prompting speculation that Karith was the result of a youthful tryst between Severn and his beloved riding tutor. As he matured, however, it became apparent that Karith's physical appearence was more reminiscent of Severn's half-brother Count Balian Da Hadez and this has further confused and fuelled the speculation as to his true heritage.
Perhaps driven by the rumour-mongering and whispered theories that surrounded him at home and the pressure to choose sides in the feud between Balian and Severn, either of whom may or may not in fact be his father, Karith has left the shores of Atamara to forge an identity of his own as a humble adventurer.

Although he claims to be 26 years old there is a long tradition of the Da Hadez family misrepresenting it's sons' and daughters' ages in order to have them accepted for military service as soon as they can fight well enough to serve. Karith is probably much younger in reality.
An accomplished adventurer, Karith has become a master swordsman and on his rare visits to civilisation is much sought after by the swordsmanship schools whos' tutors value his wealth of practical advice which rounds-out their more academic theory and techniques well.
