Pian en Luries is one of the four founding realms of the island of Dwilight. Resting near the mountains and badlands of the north and west the white city rests on the coast and is ruled by their wise and just king. The lands of Pian en Luries have a long history. Once the site of an eastern colony the natives cast down the foreigners and rebuilt their shattered lives atop the ruins to spite them. Thus the white city was born. With the duke holding much sway there is a constant political power-struggle between those whom command the city and the king of the land. But even that struggle is pale in comparison to the furious debates and politics of the Hawks and the Doves.

The Factions

Despite their differences, both Faction seeks what is best for Pian en Luries, it is only the details they differ on.

===The Hawks...=== ...are the remnants of those houses who's blood has not cooled since the ancient days when the foreigners were cast down. Believing that it is strength of arms and spirit that will see their people protected from harm, the Hawks hold that an aggressive and strong military practice, rigorous training, and solid discipline are key to survival. Typically Hawks are considered war mongers by the other faction of the realm. To a Hawk, war is an inevitable fact of life and can not be avoided. In the end, the only way to ensure survival is to make sure you are the last one standing.

===The Doves...=== ...are those houses who no longer wish to taint their hands with blood every day and instead seek to rebuild the tattered nation that had been lost so long ago. Believing that strength of community and quickness of mind will allow their people to live happy, prosperous lives, the Doves hold that learning, arts, and trade will shape the nation to a bright future. They believe, unlike the Hawks, advancement of the realm as a whole into a better thing, both in body and mind, as well as insured economic stability, will ensure survival.
