Cursed Buckler of Joppo

  On a cold winter day Gamerk went on the hunt. He slew group after group of undead, his blows always landing true. Near the end of his last battle an Undead Champion appeared before him. The two became deadlocked in an epic battle until Gamerk finial decapitated the Champion. Seeing their leader dead the others fled.
   As Gamerk was about to leave he noticed something on the Champion's person, a shield of some kind. He yanked the item away and searched for an historian to tell him about his prize. The man he found justed looked at the shield and shrugged.
   "I'll give you three pieces of sliver for it."
   But Gamerk was stupid. If an undead Champion had carried it then it was worth far more. The blade of Gamerk's sword convinced the Historian to be more helpful. 
    "It's the Cursed Buckler of Joppo." He began. He told Gamerk that the Buckler had been an heirloom of the Ancient Masters of Joppo. It had served in many historic engagements against the undead hordes. It became cursed when the Dukes of Joppo began worshiping the undead, the Sages cursed the heirloom to bring doom to any Duke of that line. As the Dukes began to die off they hid the Buckler in their vaults.
   The volts were looted by the undead in the first invasion and until now the Cursed Buckler of Joppo had been lost.
