An adventurer, well off and with several pack horses enters Partora late in the night. Leaving a note with the watch guard of the Lady Uceek of Bescanon he departs for a local inn.
The note asks in well measured tones of respect and awe that he be granted an audience with the Lady at her convienience, that he might present her with a gift found in the lands she watches over.

Jeffrey bows stiffly at Evangeline's doorway,
"My Lady, a note for you. A commoner by the name of Praether wishes to see you."
Evangeline accepts the note with curiousity, intrigued firstly by a commoner that can write, but further interested when she notes his noble-like manners and the mention of her homelands.
"Jeffrey, fetch him to me. I will see him now"

The Lady's servant finds the commoner waiting as described, and he quickly fetches with him a pack horse. As he is brought to the Lady's presence he takes out a shining breastplate of plate mail and carries it handily under his arm.
Bowing before the noble Uceek Praether waits for the Lady to speak.

"Praether... pray, what brings you to me?"

"Most noble Lady,
In the lands of your dominion I have come across a set of Plate Mail long thought lost that imbues its wearer with Doomed Strength. I having defeated a small army of undead in single combat liberated this armor from decay and death in the hands of the foul ghouls who were infesting your lands.
As it came from your lands, I had thought to return it to you, its rightful owner. The path of an adventurer is dangerous, and is even more so when one is in foreign lands. I bring to you then the Doomed Plate Mail of Strength, that it may serve you forever as a bulwark against an ill fate."
The commoner presents the breast-plate to the Lady waiting for her response.

Evangeline eyed the platemail held in Praether's extended arms. It seemed to glimmer with its own light and had intricate swirls enameled in gold leaf throughout the chest. Evangeline's armour preference had always been platemail, so she beckoned him closer.
Lifting the breastplate from his hands she was surprised how light it was and felt instantly inclined to try it on.
"What are you asking for in return for finding the platemail?"

Evangeline smiled at the compliment, this commoner was quite extraordinary.
"Unfortunately most of my gold has been left as bonds in Perdan city. I can't pay near what I would like to for the breastplate. Either you join me on my journies and wait for the opportunity for me to withdraw some gold, or accept something in the order of 20 gold.
However, since you have impressed me with your poise, eloquence and manners, I would be happy to issue a recommendation for future nobility for yourself."
