The region of Upasael was a former region of Highland Empire. Aethius Kain was appointed Baron after a few others.On 2006-08-28 Aethius Kain was elected Prime Minister of Lasanar so he had to set down as baron. Halcyon Jazuma, a former knight of Sasat, was later appointed.

With the fall of Lasanar, Upasael became part of Ohnar and then Ohnar West. The current lord is Bruiantt, of the Du Blois family who succeeded from Louis Lious, the Duke of Sasrhas. Upasael is now part of the Akadian League.
