The Tomarsen family can trace their roots back to Sale in the Barony of Sale. They were a minor noble family who made a quiet living by owning a few small farms and neighborhood pubs. During the invasion by Hasland , however, Ingvar Tomarsen fought bravely in the city's defense and was amply rewarded. Lars Tolmar Tomarsen, Sale
Eldest son of Olaf, Lars Tolmar was not content to play second fiddle to his uncle's branch of the family and so returned to Sale to seek out his fame and fortune.
- 1008-10-10 Raiding career began in earnest, hitting Nazia, Belegmon and Menedor in Falasan.
- 1008-11-15 Decides the life of wine, women and leisure is more to his liking, and becomes a priest.
Ebbe Tomarsen, Somewhere on Atamara
One of Olaf's sons, arguments with his father eventually led to his being disowned. A quayside fight resulted in his being turned into forced labor aboard an Atamara-bound ship. He jumped ship near Falasan and armed only with a rusty sword, is making his way.

Deathwyrm Tomarsen, Talex
Named "Deathwyrm" by his father in hopes that he would turn out to be another lusty viking warrior, the boy at first was small and sickly. Perseverance seems to be winning out, however.
- 1008-09-20 First battle, in Ornaz, Greater Aenilia. Surprised everyone - himself, most of all - by being at the center of the charge that overran the palisade walls.
- 1008-09-25 Wounded for the first time, during a looting raid in Greater Aenilian territory.
- 1008-10-01 Named "Champion of Talex" for braving the city's besiegers in order to bring in a caravan of food to its starving inhabitants.
- 1008-11-20 Appointed Lord of Treror
- 1008-11-25 Death duel with Broderick de Grenefield. Neither man is killed.
- 1008-11-29 Banned from Arcaea. Swear allegiance to Ethialia, taking his region of Treror with him.
Kirstyn Tomarsen, Talex
Deathwyrm's twin sister. Far more competent than her brother in every sense of the word, but relegated to a second-tier status by her masochistic father.
- 1008-09-20 First battle, in Ornaz, Greater Aenilia. Led an archer troop that performed well, if not spectacularly. Headed south instead of north with the returning troops and looted GA and Ethialia before being captured in Lantzas.
