He swore allegiance to Fontan, but indeed too short was his service. What has happened to him in Sermbar desert no one knows. Beads of time have passed before his cousin, Targon Valerian, already a well established Atamaran noble, sent a group of rangers to search for any trace of Sirdan. Not that he had some real hope of finding Sirdan alive, but after a heroic death of Elladan Losfer, his twin brother, and killing of Zaratin Anarion, his other cousin, Targon had been struck by great grief, which spurred him to desparate search of any remaining members of Hathor's lineage.

Battle-crazed, defying countless arrows, he climbed the walls of Shanandoah shouting profanities at the advancing enemy. The attack engulfed him, as it did many others. In the aftermath of battle for Shanandoah, Sirdan's body had not been found. It is unknown to this day, if he met his end or escaped Atamara in total lunacy.
