The Blackwing family, started by Killtan Blackwing of Norland, is nestled in the cold moors of Melmoor. Killtan, the bastard son of a relatively unknown noble was chased out of his home town for unintentionally killing his half brother. He adopetd the surname 'Blackwing' and moved to the freezing north, to Norland. Killtan swore blood allegiance to Norland, bounding his family to it's continuing existence. No Blackwing will ever stand against the North.
