I am Kiltan. Born sometime around 1988 in the freezing Urals, I started playing BattleMaster sometime in either 2006 or 07 as the Blackwing Family, Having since deleted that account. Currently playing as the Graeven family. Unfortunately, as I have yet to make it as a writer (which is sadly the only thing I'm actually good at), these remain the only two points of my life worth noting.

There are two reasons I play BM, it's not because it's a great game or anything, those two reasons are Norland, which is dead so it no longer counts (you bastards killed the best realm in the game, shame on you), and Roleplaying. As a writer, this is a fantastic tool to improve my skills, particularly since English is a third language for me. Roleplaying is very different than writing a story, because in writing a story you can take your time, change plot elements as you see fit, edit it over and over until it's shiny - but with roleplaying (in BM that is), you have to deal with other characters, over which you have no control; You have to deal with the environment, changing events and politics; You don't have time to mull over an RP until it's great, people are waiting to see how you react to something, and events play out in real time - you can't afford to waste time trying to make a peice 'perfect' - you have to get it 'perfect', or just plain 'good enough' on the first go and thrust it out there for other to read, hoping you get a reaction. This is a fantastic experience, and it has helped, and continues to help me become a better writer and storyteller. This is basically all you need to know about me as a player; for me, story comes first, to which the game is only the backdrop.
