The Onslaught of Aegir’s Deep
It may prove true that in the first season of this great war, the Onslaught of Aegir’s Deep will be the most spectacular clash ever. Fighting occurred in this territory in two huge battles, both victories for the Donghaiwei-Libidizedd Alliance.
The first was the onslaught, the largest offensive battle ever recorded. The Alliance defeated the Twin “Empires” during that long windy night (on the 6th of December, 2009). This was a significant battle for the war because of three reasons. First, it was the first time Astrum participated in the war that Xinhai handled well on its own. Second, because the dirty Raivanlands imprisoned Lord Bustoarsenzio for one week in their dungeons and the confinement led to Marshal Hericus Lefanis replacing him as Lord Polemarch of Xinhai. Third, because the first battle of Aegir's Deep led to it’s takeover by Xinhai for five days.
The second battle was another huge battle solely between the Raivanlanders and the Astrumites in the early days of Summer in 9 YD (on the 17th of December, 2009). Though Astrum defeated the Raivanlanders, the next day the region declared itself rogue in defiance of the Alliance.
Only the peasants of Aegir’s Deep know the impact the Onslaught has caused, but I will suppose that it is great. Since the region is the land nearest the Raivanlands capital, it will no doubt host several heavy battles in this war. It may even be the linchpin of the whole Outpost. When Aegir’s Deep falls permanently, so to will Low Edward fall off his mute throne.
