Origin of Delamoire Family

The Delamoire Family has lived in Karbala since the Dark Era, though much of the information of this era is lost after the fall of the Spider Queen Luciferase. Few records in the Delamoire family archives trace back to a woman named Nelrina Ra Moire, a Mistress within the Cult of Spiders. The records of this time indicate that in some capacity she was trusted by Luciferase, and during this period she was given lands in Karbala and so the noble line of Delamoire was established.

Nelrina married shortly thereafter to a roguish commoner named Zylem Alhriem who had gained a reputation among the commoners as dangerous sword for hire that people hired to silence political opponents.

Nelrina and Zylem were known to have three children. Their eldest was their daughter Ristarra Delamoire, who preceded the other children by five years, and was known to be clever early on and then considered mad as she aged. The middle child was Sir Coryn, and was the ideal balance between Nelrina and Zylem, charming and strong. Though, as fortune had it, Sir Coryn was killed in the Shadow King's war. The youngest child was Rys, who had all the fierceness of his parents, but also all the mischief. Rys consistently spent his time in and out of jail cells and on the run for his involvement in rebellions and idealistic criminal activity.

Background
Vilaine is the eldest child of Ristarra Delamoire, and as his mother's condition worsened and her reputation of madness spread, Vilaine was left to raise his brother and sisters at a young age. When he was 9, Ristarra was apprehended by the medics for treatment an analysis, putting Vilaine responsible for his three sisters and two brothers. The added responsibility required Vilaine to mature much faster than most children and by his early teens Vilaine was a pessimistic and serious sort that rarely smiled.

When his mother, Ristarra, returned from the hospitals five years later when Vilaine was 14, there was a fight between the two. Vilaine, afterward, left Karbala and joined in a Knight Brotherhood under a foreign Lord of Dwilight. During his time serving under the foreign Lord, Vilaine became a Captain and quickly earned a reputation as a strong and cunning strategist. As fate would have it, however, being clever could not overcome sheer numbers.

The foreign Lord fell along with his armies, though Vilaine and a few other of the loyal knights survived. With the armies dispersed, peace negotiations quickly came into place and Vilaine found himself without proper employment. He sold what trinkets he had been awarded and returned to Karbala, the seat of his Family's power, and joined the army of the Shadow King. When Sir Vilaine informed his mother, Ristarra, of his decision to join the armies of the Shadow King, she had wailed briefly, and has not spoken since.

Physical Description
Vilaine is hardened beyond his years with a strong jawline and stern brow. The right side of his face bears the scar of what appears to be claws from right ear to chin, narrowly missing the grey of the mismatched grey and green eyes. He is clean shaven with dirty blonde hair kept short and parted to the side.

The nobleman stands only 5'8" tall but has a strong physique and broad shoulders. His dress is not lavish and often consists of deep brown and forest green. He wears no jewelry or trinkets save a small pendant of a black rose around his neck. When prepared for battle he wears leather with a steel breastplate, pauldrons, and gauntlets.

A great sword with a black scabbard and matching hilt wrapped in black leather is either close by, or carried over his shoulder.

Vilaine is a man of few words and rarely smiles. He has a seriousness that exceeds his age and often indicates he's a realist and has no time for pleasantries.

She requested that Sibéal go with her so that she could share her worldly knowledge to establish House Delamoire abroad. As the storms grew worse, Lady Leonora agreed and sent her only daughter to the docks to sail eastward to an arranged estate in Lux Nova on Beluaterra. As the boats sailed away from Karbala a great storm overtook them, nearly overturning the boat. Her cousin, Sibéal, was thrown overboard along with many of the sailors and retainers of House Delamoire. Emilia arrived at the docks of Jidington and tried to organize a search for her cousin, but failed to sway the nobles of Lux Nova.
2020.09.15 - Emilia joined Vordul Sanguinis and uncovered the history of Xlair Silverblade and Vordulism. Swearing the Oath to the priest Godfrey Greybrook she begins down the path of fanaticism.
2020.10.15 - Partook in the magic rituals in the city of Keffa, propagating a blood bath in the streets of the city to work toward resurrecting the Eternal Emperor, Xlair Silverblade. The ritual turned against the Vordulians eventually with the concerted effort of the other nations. At this time a unique relic of Vordulian history presented itself, Bloodlaw, one of Xlair Silverblade's missing swords that had vanished with his death/ascension in Wudenkin. The blade was taken by Guile and brought to Irondale where it's location was lost.
2020.10.15 - 2021.05.01 - Emilia traveled in search of Bloodlaw and in search of others that shared her fanatical obsession with the Eternal Emperor.
2021.05.02 - Emilia Delamoire returned to Vordul Sanguinis.

Background
Emilia was still an infant when her father, Coryn, was killed in the wars of the Shadow King. Coryn was the middle child of Nelrina's children and had proven himself to be both intelligent and charming. His wife, Lady Leonora was the eldest daughter of a prestigious family and their marriage was one of both politics and love. Lady Leonora moved back to House Delamoire, where Emilia was raised among her cousins from a young age. Emilia excelled academically under Scholar Bertrand's tutelage, adept with numbers and history. She had her father's charisma and platinum blonde hair and her mother's cunning.

By the age of ten Emilia acted a Lady proper, and after Lady Nelrina passed, helped her mother care for House Delamoire. By her thirteenth name day it was clear that Emilia was being groomed for inheriting the family estate and leadership once her mother, Lady Leonora, passed the title. As she matured, she began to show a lack of compassion toward others, besides her troubled aunt Ristarra who she spent most of her time with. Her callousness quickly gained a reputation around House Delamoire where she treated the others severely whenever they came between her and her whims.

When her cousin, Sibéal, moved into House Delamoire, Emilia became fascinated with the stories of her travels. Having been sheltered and groomed for most of her young life, the thought of great cities and vastness of the world intrigued her.

Physical Description
Emilia had long and angled features with fair skin and platinum blonde hair. Her hair was long enough to drape over thin shoulders, but with bangs cut to frame her thin features to the angled jaw line. Her forest green eyes were angled with thin brows and dark lashes which were perfectly symmetrical on either side of a thin nose that led to full red lips.

She was slender and only 5'5" tall but thought herself over 10' tall which shined through her aloof posture and fearlessness. She preferred well embroidered bodices in deep reds or purples and would accent it fitting black breaches and silver pins and matching rings. Emilia was proper in her tone and etiquette, but rarely wore dress or catered to others. She was a noble woman, but house Delamoire was  a matriarchy from the age of the Spider Queen of Shadowdale

Sibéal Delamoire

Allegiance: Tol Goldora on Dwilight
Title(s): Dame
Estate: Golden Palace in Golden Farrow
Notable NPCs:

  • Steward: Denson
  • Captain: Osric

In Game Timeline
2020.09.01 - As the cataclysmic events of East Continent continued, Lady Leonora ordered both Emilia and Sibéal on a boat to flee the region and maintain the Delamoire name if their Family Home was destroyed by the storms. As the boat sailed east out of the harbor of Karbala a great storm overtook the boat, waves that towered above the masts of the ship. Sibéal was thrown overboard during this dark storm, where she lost consciousness and was swept away with the current. When Sibéal awoke, she was on the shores of Gelene Outskirts of Westgard on the continent of Dwilight. Once the governing offices recognized Sibéal nobility within House Delamoire she took up residence in Sumer's Repose and begins her life as an independent noble woman of Westgard.
2020.10.14 - Feuding with Tideweaver and the Hidden God religion, Sibéal departed Westgard and joined Tol Goldora
2020.10.30 - 2021.05.01 - Sibéal left Tol Goldora momentarily in search for her father to help with some financial stress he was enduring. After assisting she returned to Tol Goldera to resume her individual life away from the bad influences of her father.
2020.05.02 - Sibéal returns to Tol Goldora for the Tournament of Golden Farrow and takes up estate in the Golden Palace.

Background
Being a daughter of Rys wasn't easy, and was never predictable. For the first few years of life, her mother Fiona and Rys were together, having been united in a rebellion based on individual rights. After the rebellion ended, Sibéal's parents didn't have much in common and eventually Fiona and Rys parted ways. Rys, having a fondness for Sibéal argued for her and eventually brought her with him as he traveled East Continent. As such, Sibéal grew up living from Inn to Inn, and Tavern to Tavern. She was wild and spirited, small but tough.

When she was a teenager, Rys had grown more distant and had been involved in secret dealings among foreign nobles. Often Sibéal would be left with the Inn, her bright demeanor welcome among the common staff. At the age of fifteen, Sibéal's life took a sharp turn. Rys had returned and with him a dangerous bounty. He came bearing a writ of passage and told Sibéal she would be going back to Shadowdale where her aunt, Lady Leonora would look after her. Rys was gone again before she could take passage and she clearly remembers standing on the boat, looking back at the docks and wondering if she'd ever see her father again.

As she arrived in Karbala, she was met at the docks by her older cousin, Sir Vilaine. He escorted Sibéal to House Delamoire where she was introduced to the family and given her own quarters. According to Lady Leonora her manners were awful, and reluctantly underwent etiquette training by the Scholar Bertrand. As the years went by, Sibéal remained an outside among her cousins, the reputation of her father having preceded her arrival to Shadowdale.

Physical Description
Thin boned and petite, Sibéal was always the overlooked family member. She has long wavy red hair, a "v" shaped jaw, and thin pale red lips. Her eyes are a bright green accented by her fair freckled cheeks. Only standing 5'4" tall, Sibéal's stature contradicts her spirit, which seems to erupt from her suddenly and unexpectedly.

She prefers deep greens and golds in her attire, but often is marred with scuffs and tears from her rowdy nature. She carries a certain amount of pride around her battle gear, and often wears her mixture of chain and thin plate armor, which only accents the vibrancy of bright hair and pale skin.

Her voice pitch is mild and her tone often excited. Contrary to her intent, she often speaks first, and thinks later, her passion preceding reason in all affairs.

She may be small, but defiant.
