• Family Mansion in poor rural province of Dulbin, East Continent.

Family History:

The Ironsides family are impoverished nobles from Dulbin. The legacy of the Ironsides is proud and legendary, but the state of the blood has thinned, and the remaining members of the family became obscure. Jagur, the previous patriarch, had wantonly practiced polygamy, and produced many bastard children, presumably an uncountable amount because he was with so many new women, and travelled East Continent extensively. He died of typhoid. His brother Soren, a tamer, gentler man, became the Patriarch of the Ironsides after Jagur’s death.

Soren worked his farm hard and was able to build a successful apiary on the family land. Soren has no wife and no children, and devotes his time to maintaining the apiary and providing for his nieces and nephews. He is reaching an advanced age. From the production of honey, he was able to rebuild a small fortune and give some of his nephews the opportunity to live truly noble lives. Now they seek to restore the former glory to the Ironsides name and serve in various realms on different continents, for better or for worse.

Ironsides Generations

Spawns of Jagur, the First Generation

Jagur and his frequent women produced many sons and daughters, three of which have been ennobled by the wealth of Soren. It is rare for any of Jagur's spawns to have the same mother. In fact, none are yet discovered.

Armstrong, the oldest by a few months, is set to be patriarch once Soren passes, and thereby remains on the East Continent while two of his brothers emigrated. He served Fontan for a decade as the Hero of Democracy, a Lord, a Marshal and various other activities until one day he decided to return home to Dulbin. He is now a knight of Oligarch. He is a man of principles and unapologetic heroism. Armstrong married Lady Cerise in a small wedding in An Najaf before their departure from Fontan.

Black Bowie, Demon of Dwilight, was once a prominent Judge of the Grand Duchy of Fissoa. His duty as a knight earned him a tale telling of his brave unit’s final battle, known as the Legend of the Iron Toughs. He even began a family in Drowenton, a blooming life chronicled in Bowie and Arabell. Abandoning his wife, his child, his status and position, the man succumbed to avarice. Now he serves his lust for fortune, his lust for victory and most desired of all, his lust for power! A troubled villain of Dwilight. During the cursed life of the Demon Prince, he was given the revelations which heralded the conceptual religion Mysticism.

Archon Major Hades, died of pneumonia in Rotherthorpe at the age of 23 on the 12th of March, 1009. He was buried in a small local ceremony beside the temple. His wife Lady Cimiko and their children, Titus and Ariadne, moved to Leohampton to be with her family. The Death of Hades records the quiet funeral.

Novgorod, son of Jagur and a commoner. His mother emigrated from the East Continent back to her family's farm in Hetland, Beluaterra after Jagur moved on. She died when Novgorod was twenty years old. He then left the farm and began a life of adventuring. At the age of twenty-six in the region of Haffemet, Novgorod met a Wizard for the first time. The Wizard said he would make the Scroll of Holy Light if Novgorod was able to produce these items:

* 2x Wyvern Scales
* 1x Monster Claw
* 2x Bear Hide
* 2x Wolf's Hide

But Novgorod did not have any Wyvern Scales so the Wizard turned him away. With luck and patience, this adventurer may acquire the scroll yet.

Second Generation

As the offspring of Jagur mature, they found their own Houses and build their families.

Avandor, son of Bowie and Arabell, was born in Drowenton, Dwilight. Having been raised without knowing his father, Avandor assumes his mother's story is true, that Bowie was killed in battle against monsters.

Titus and Ariadne, twins of Hades and Cimiko, born in Rotherthorpe, Atamara. They live the humble lives of a religious family.

Selena, daughter of Black Bowie and the harlot Melani, born in Port Raviel, Dwilight. She was adopted into the Stormrage Family on the day King Cenarious married Duchess Kisharianda.

Winter, son of Prince Bowie and a young princess of Sallowtown. Born in Sallowtown after the Crusade, Winter is to be raised as Sallowsian royalty.

Ford Young, son of Armstrong and Cerise, born in Oligarch, East Continent. He is being raised by his legendary father. An omen during his birth revealed that he was destined for greatness. The moon was full when it should not have been. This was interpreted to mean that his life would brighten darkness in some way despite natural forces. How this will manifest during his life is unknown.

Notes

Caper of the Fourth Point:
1. Unknown point: Unsure of where it arrived from. I noticed it on (25-07-08). Nothing much had changed the past week for my characters. Maybe a cumulative honour raise? They had been fighting. Also, I had been expanding my characters on the wiki a lot, maybe that was taken into account. Could it also be for time spent in game? At the moment of noticing I was 62 days in game...Oh, Bowie's attributes pie is mainly red, maybe that had something to do with it?
2. Fourth point: Noticed on (29-07-08). Again, no idea where it came from. I really think we should be notified when a person's fame increases and for what reason. How else are we able to track it? I have reason to suspect that it came from Armstrong reaching twenty prestige. But that happened well before. Maybe, number three was the Armstrong twenty and the number four is the unknown one? That is how I am to record it...any objections please say so.
* I have discovered the unknown point. It seems you get a point for breaking 50 cumulatively too. I did not know this. That settles the Caper of the Fourth point! Thanks!
New Mystery:
1. Yesterday (25 Oct/08) I noticed two more points of family fame. No one was active much, my internet has been terrible. It's another puzzle to solve...
2. Now as I have understood it, family prestige is what is cumulative, and regular prestige is for individuals. so as Armstrong has reached each prestige mark before the others, than it is him who earned the fame for the family. this plus the others reached the family prestige, 20 and 50. those i overlooked last time i investigated. but that still leaves one point uncounted for. how is one able to check their skills, such as leadership or preaching? Armstrongs leadership had increased, and i have never had any mention of hades preaching, but he has been doing it routinely.
3. I have seen the bar for the Outcast fame point. How does that measure? Bowie was banned by Madina back in September, and yet I see that point on the 25th of October. Surely the delay cannot be that long...I won't attribute it to this yet, but later on I might just for the hell of it. Who's going to call me on it? Ha!
*I have decided to do exactly this. It looks good for Bowie's reputation. (Even though I received this point nearly a month after Bowie was protested out of office in Fissoa and then banned from Madina.)
Relocation:
1. I noticed that none of my characters have 50 prestige, and so having that count as a fame point was wrong. and none of them add up to 100, so i do not have that fame point. so i relocated the fame point from the mistake and gave it to hades' preaching skill. it is the least i could do with him.
2. I was correct to do this, as on 23 of Feb. 09 I trained Hades oratory skill in an academy with an expert, but the trainer said he could not do it because hades' skill was higher than his (which he said was 80%). So if they give a point for preaching skills, then Hades certainly got one.
Duke Points
* Bowie became the Duke of Sallowtown by appointment after he took it over on April 29 2009. As of May 1st his two points for this have not been accredited. Two points were added by May 08.
WIZARD!
On December 23rd 2009 at 12:33 am in Haffemet Beluaterra, Novgorod met a Wizard. Since he did not have all of the items he was unable to get the Scroll of Holy Light, but, now that I know where and when the Wizard might possibly be, I am going to track down a pair of Wyvern Scales and get that scroll! The game is on!
