While the bulk of the Eston army was aiding allies in a distant land, a week's travels from Eston's borders, Norland decided to cowardly attack Eston. Shortly thereafter, the regions of Ashmoor, Fiddleford, Elost, and Moramroth fell to enemy forces.  After many-month fight, Eston has since been able to liberate the regions of Fiddleford and Ashmoor with the help of our allies, Talerium. A small detachment of Ashlanteans fought alongside the Vikings in Ashmoor. Just recently, Eston's old friends of Minas Ithil have declared war, most likely because of the Talerian aid. Eston is now facing the combined armies of three realms, but their troop leaders are poised and ready, and they are determined to defeat a fourth member of the Eastern Alliance in battle.<BR>

The Government and Feudal Hierarchy of Eston

The Kingdom of Eston is a traditional Monarchy with power devolving downwards from the King or Queen of Eston. The Dukes of Eston swear fealty to the Crown, the Lords swear fealty to their Dukes, and the Knights swear fealty to their Lords. The Nobles of the realm elect the King for life and the Royal Marshal, Royal Treasurer, and Royal Justiciar are all appointments of the Crown of Eston.
