History

The many hidden caves and coves around Itau are open secrets. People know of them, but few dare to venture inside for fear of the curses of the pirates that once held them before. It was in these caves that the Silent Gwyn crept into, following trails of undead into the depths.

The old pirate leader guarded his treasures well, minimal though they were after being picked clean over the years, but Gwyn's skill with sword and spear were not to be underestimated. His blade flashed like lightning, cutting down the crusty pirate like a hot knife through butter.

As he rummaged through the Captain's quarters, a few gold coins missed by robbers past were pocketed. It was out of the corner of his eye that he saw it. A strange book with a dark aura. Forbidden text filled the pages. Recipes for dark concoctions, and medicines made with forbidden ingredients, and rituals for the mind, body and spirit, and so much more. Carefully stowing away his prize, Gwyn set out back to his inn for the night while he pondered what to do with the book.
