Esteemed Duchess,

In the past I had promised I would write should I again chance upon an item of unique qualities. That day has come, after many dreadful adventures in the tombs of Rinqen.

It was there I was beset upon by a being long dead, yet still very much animate. It read from a dark leather time, a most terrible spell or curse of sorts weakening my very being.

Somehow I was able to break free and cut it down, twas not the first fiend that tried to extinguish me! The tome is now in my possession, all I would ask is a fair price and letter of good service written and signed by your hand.
