~From the shadows of Agyr, as the sun was rising, a man made a step forward and interupted Aldo's path.~ Lucifer Jr: "Good morning, your Lordship... How are you?!" ~Lucifer Jr. was holding a dagger on his right hand and without losing a moment he went on.~ Lucifer Jr: "You may have no idea who I am, but I do admitt that I know nothing of you either... Still someone wants you dead." ~Lucifer Jr. made a move and threw the dagger aside on the ground.~ Lucifer Jr: "I have been employed to kill you in exchange of my return from the lands of Fronen, but I am not sure why I should do so... Instead I have thought to make an offer to you..." ~He drew a small knife of his belt and threw it on the ground.~ Lucifer Jr: "As you can see, I am getting disarmed, since I want our talkings to be sincere and... quick! I may have this ...'special' ability... to get rid of any 'target' that is an annoyance to the rest of Nobles, but know Lord that I do not do so unless I have a motive..." ~Lucifer Jr. drew another knife of his belt and threw it also to the ground.~ Lucifer Jr: "For you, Lord Aldo, I have no motive... Instead, I have a motive to go against those who did plot against me in Fronen. I was thinking to grab the chance and have my ban lifted, so that I can return and make them pay for their malicious behaviour... However, I fear that no matter what I do, I will never be welcome in Fronen again." ~He moved his hand at the back and drew another dagger.~ Lucifer Jr: "I am willing to work for you and for Melhed, should you give me this chance... All I request in exchange is th 8% of the realm's revenue. I have been a Chancellor myself and I know that for my skills it is not much to ask. You... ahem I mean Melhed... can afford it, I think." ~Lucifer Jr. threw the dagger to the ground.~

Walking down the street Aldo pauses at the intersection to look around. Gazing into the distance, he considers taking a different route, but eventually smiles and continues forward. Only mildly surprised when the dark figure detaches itself from the wall Aldo made no move to stop him and listened closely to his words smiling. "Sir a great many people, and other, darker things want me dead; so your proclamation is of little value. And since my death will not even slow the republic I am amused at how short sighted your employer is. Further from all appearances you are a poor assassin at that, since you have betrayed the trust of your employer because you thought it more convenient to you that we speak. I have no use for a man with so little regard for his professional pride, that he will not see the task through. And lastly you would have me believe that your dubious services are worth 566 gold of the republic's coffers, per week. I find it highly unlikely that you are so greatly skilled that you are worth double my wages." Shaking his head Aldo waved his hand dismissively, "I suggest you try to find another lord to pester because you have not impressed this one."

~Lucifer Jr. listened to Aldo and frowned. He lowered his head looking to the ground for some moments pretending to be thinking and after a while he looked at his target and spoke.~ "Lord Aldo, I am not a man who works for strangers and I am not a man who cares for his employers much. Actually, I did never have a reasonable employer and I doubt I would ever support any. The fact that I can bring you down like a leaf falling from the tree does not mean that I should do so." ~Lucifer Jr. started picking up his weapon from the ground.~ "But alas if I were not proud of my skills! I wonder though, why do you really think that I am an assassin? I mean... I am capable of many things and among them as I have said to get rid of anyone that is an annoyance to the rest of Nobles, but I have never said that I am assassin." ~Making a few steps forward and while keeping his dagger at his hand once again, he moved approached his listener.~ "The fact that I have been asked to kill you for the lifting of my ban is not enough of a reason for me to remove you from your office. Well, you could say that I do not like intimidation!" ~He sheathed his dagger.~ "No one of my stature would ever value life so low..." ~He extended his hand for a handshake.~ "I am Sir Lucifer Jr. P. Lowenbruck, former Chancellor of Kalmar Islands and a true patriot of the realm. I did not intend to offend you with my offer, but I confess that I was not aware of how rich Melhed is. I have just come to Beluaterra and I think that I would be pretty much satisfied with half of this amount spoken in order to serve the royal seat. Since 8% of the realm's revenue equals with 566 gold coins, an amount close to 250 or 280 gold coins per week would be enough for me to cover the expenses of keeping my skills honed in order my service to Melhed to always be one of upper rank." ~Lucifer Jr. made a few steps back to the shadows and disappeared.~ "I value my realm, my friends and my family more than an employer..." --- OOC: Actually... Wow! Is 8% equal to 566 gold?!! I think my calculation was not very accurate. :)

Arms crossed and unmoving Aldo shakes his head, “It is not you who will end me sir, despite the wishes of your employer, I will die by another’s hand. And you still have not impressed me; you say you are not an assassin, yet you act one, you say you are a Chancellor of a land I have not heard of, yet you are banned from Fronen, you say you have been ordered to end my days, and yet Fronen is one of our closest allies. You can ask for as much money as you wish from me, man of shadows, but since it is the Senate that authorizes all crown investments I doubt you will see a copper.” Turning to go he calls out, “You have one last chance to impress me sir, I will be in the halls of the Senate; use it well.”
