Tempus' Chain Mail of Blood

This mail once belonged to a general, great was his deeds. Time has erased his name from his deeds. In his rage at being forgotten, he returned to remind the world, and lead an army of undead. But the undead proved to be poorer soldiers than they had been in life, and slower. Robert Roos slew the army, and amidst the debris found the general raging. Vile were his words, and worse were his curses.

He used magic to place his whole tale into the mind of Robert. And glorious was his life, and pious his victories. This armor, dedicated to Tempus with medallions depicting righteous acts, was given to the general by grateful peasants. Pure was the general's heart, until late in life tempters, gluttons, and courtesans wove songs of jealousies into his fibre. His death came dreadfully, reaping what he sowed late in life. For that, he was denied entrance to paradise, and slowly built strength to return to the forgetful world.

Robert, now knowing the general's name, also knew his evil. And for that, has refused to tell anyone that name. But the mail, cleaned and polished, is as worthy of nobility today as ever it was.
