General Discussion

I don't think an "official" IC history of the creation of Dwilight is a good idea. A lot of the concepts you come up with probably won't agree with many of the IC beliefs of the various religions. For example, any "gods" you come up with will be against the beliefs of Sanguis Astroism, which reveres the three Blood Stars. A common history should really only discuss what happened from the time nobles first showed up on the island. Leave all the other "pre-history" to individual realm or religion pages. Perhaps include a section that links to the various creation mythos on other pages. Since the "pre-history" wasn't written before the island was started, you will most likely just invalidate the pre-existing RP. --Indirik 14:00, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

I agree. Additionally, there is already a Dwilight/Legends that needs its purpose refined a bit. Either way, I think you should move this page to a subpage of Dwilight. --Vita Family 15:18, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
Good point Indirik, though a rough sketch of the ancient world which is roughly excepted by all religions and cultures wouldn't hurt trying to achieve in my opinion. I still wish to see different legends, but I simply would like to combine them in one IC 'book' so to say. Maybe we could combine this with setting up a guild that focuses on 'independent' research on the history of Dwilight. --Vlad 15:28, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

First entry by Nosferatus: Book of Twilight

The following concept is based on a concept i had when i just started playing Abbot. I've adjusted it with influence from the religions of Verdis Elementum and the Sanguis Astroism and the roleplay's about the Zuma by the Le Fay Family. Please feel free to discuss this concept!

Intro

Fire Water Wind Earth Spirit

All five kingdoms had there own magnificent realm.
All had there own church all based on there element.
They worshipped there element and worshiped it's gods and it's half gods.

These kingdoms lived together peacefully guided by the council of elements, where any dispute solved it's self. But as more and more humans came to this world and became more and more powerful, the nations turned greedy and neglected the authority of the council of elements. Wars erupted and the elements fought each other for ages. they where doomed to fight for an eternity until these kingdoms became so powerful that fighting became useless. the world was destroyed, flooded, scrounged and destroyed by magic and god like creatures of incredible proportion.

the ancient empires fell, none where spared(with the exception of the godly creatures), but only one race survived, and it is called the Zuma. Nne could consider them a winning faction, they had nothing left but there half gods decided to rebuild there kingdom and defend there people from golems, ghouls, undead and other mythical creatures that survived the endless wars.

Creatures

Undead

mostly un pure souls that got lost on sea, some big exceptional are considered a godly race with the intent to guard the underworld(underwater world) these are worshipped by water elementalists. There is one exception, ghouls, they are afterlife soldiers of the spirit domain.

Monsters

a quite vague description for mythical and minor mythical creatures of all kind, most winged creatures are relatives of the wind half gods while golems are relatives of the earth half gods. All monsters of the waters are of coursed considered holy by the water domains.

Daemons

all creatures considered as daemons are direct relatives of the fire gods, most of the ancient half gods still live till this day in the western parts of dwilight.

Traditions

Fire

Birth: fire works as birth ritual

Burial: Cremation

Genesis: the gods created this world with fireworks which first resulted in a burning mass and enormous volcano's, some sparks of the divine fireworks however turned into another dimension(world) where souls where born. they sought for bodies to be born in but found none, they started crying and there enormous amounts of tears turned into a flood of water calming all the fiery waste lands and turn them into plants and creatures which in turn evolved them selves into hosts for souls. All souls (even those of mythical creatures) will die and return to the soul world where they will stay for an equal amount of time before they go back to earth and start all over again... fire elemtalists try to harm no one especially mythical creatures, they better b e nice to them or they will kill them over and over again....

Other: the fire elementalists live in a hierarchy of the strongest, everyone obeys the beings that are stronger to them.

Apocalypse: the strongest die....

Water

Birth: birth in bath(water birth) in which people trow coins for paying the merchant that brought the childs soul.

Burial: Trowing the body in the sea or puting it on a special death boat covered with golden coins (for the soul merchant). Allegedly, the merchant brought souls from and to th debts/underwater world/netherworld which ofcourse, had to have it's part of the share...

Other: The water elementalists did not only worship the water, they worshiped the winds and the skies as well but believed it was a projection of the world and it's oceans and seas and mountains.

Genesis: The world has been slowly created out of the deepest of the depths(underwater world/netherworld etc tc...

Apocalypse: a big flood and a big war.

Earth

Burial: Burial ceremony in the wilds.

Apocalypse: Disasters (tornado's, floods forest fires, plagues etc etc etc.

Wind

Burial: Climbing to the top of a mountain and sacrificing the body to the birds.

Spirit

Burial: these people felt when there time comes, they go into the woods or go into the deserts and never return.

Other: spirit worshipers, the world of the starts is the world of the spirits, live in mostly small communities with three holy temple cities worshiping the three separate gods (the there brightest stars of Dwilight). (pre morekian church)
