Talk:New Item Ideas

From BattleMaster Wiki

Should we move this to be a sub-page of Unique Items? --Calvin November t/c on 22:39, 15 December 2006 (CET)

No, this has nothing to do with unique items. --Tom 22:45, 15 December 2006 (CET)
Ah! I see. The stuff Adventurers can collect is listed here (as the article states, "new ideas for items for adventurers to gather" and Unique Items are for "whoever manages to secure them for himself". So, Unique Items are not unique to the Adventurer class, yes? --Calvin November t/c on 19:09, 17 December 2006 (CET)
The Gem section looks like a huge collection of Lightsabre crystalls. Duh. -- Gsklee 08:29, 16 December 2006 (CET)

So... do you think we need more stuff then? -Pizarro

gems

I apologize for all the commentary that came with my gem suggestions. I probably should have left the commentary for this discussion page. Cheever 20:24, 7 January 2007 (CET)

animal parts

I don't know nearly as much about animals as I do about gems, but it seems to me that if the names of the items adventures can find had some sort of pattern to them (like my suggestion for the names of gems being derived from its quality and variety) that would allow players to begin speculating and theorizing about the game mechanics (just like we do over exactly how morale, training, etc. influence combat strength) which is a lot of fun for BM enthusiasts. Naming animal parts in this way would be easy. We create a list of animals, we create a list of parts, and we correlate them. For example, "Alligator Skin" shouldn't be the only skin an adventure can find, nor should it be the only part of an alligator that an adventurer could find. Maybe someone could make a table with one column for animals and one column for parts. Obviously, not all the parts could be combined with all the animals (e.g. alligators don't have any feathers that I am aware of), but it would still be useful. Moreover, its a really easy way to quickly multiply the list of items. (Actually, I probably should have done that for gems. Oh well.) Cheever 20:24, 7 January 2007 (CET)

LOL @ "Stuff not submitted by JF" :P that guy's got humour :D

Bloodmoon fruit

Can we make it possible for adventurers to find bloodmoon fruit? On the Dwilight server. It will have no purpose beyond being something that can be bought or sold...mainly found in the islands of port raviel and nebel? Where do I post about this if this is the wrong spot? You can read about Bloodmoon and its use on the Thulsoma kingdom page for Dwilight --Balgathled 08:00, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
