Who gets credit for finding a fame point?

Seems as the whole community will be adding and helping in all this, how do we define who discovered the point. The first person who thought it up maybe? - Revan April 4, 2006 22:20 (CEST)

That seems probably the best way. The problem is that there's already quite a few guesses - who get's the credit if someone confirms a point that someone else has guessed at? I mean, I have quite a few ideas listed on the main page, but as most of them are for the retroactive points, I have no way to prove them. --Roy 5 April 2006 13:30 (CEST)

Deceased Realm Fame?

Having had a character in a now deceased realm - this does not give fame (99% sure), I've had a character in a deceased realm and family fame didn't rise (Nylen 24 March 2006 00:34 (CET))

You didn't get any of the newly added retrospective points? Damn. Ah well, that's one I can take off the list then --Roy 24 March 2006 00:38 (CET)
As far as I know, deceased realms are deleted from the database. Thus, there is no way for the game to see if you've been in a deceased realm and give you fame for it :-) --Kristian 24 March 2006 00:42 (CET)
Well, technically (and bearing in mind I have no concept of how things like code work), wouldn't the game be able to check realms your character HAS been in, and by comparing it with the list of realms in the database, give you a fame point if one of the realms listed on your userpage DOESN'T appear there? Okay, so I'm grasping at straws here ;) --Roy 24 March 2006 00:45 (CET)
I was in Rancagua when it was decreased, no new fame. Eirik felde 4 April 2006 22:29 (CEST)
Excellent - I'll stroke that one off --Roy 5 April 2006 13:30 (CEST)
Yes. Well, these new fame points were added AFTER Rancagua was defeated, bear that in mind. Eirik felde 5 April 2006 14:49 (CEST)

Hero Fame

My char Batman just died on Atamara. I got 3 fame points and he had a Prestige of 27. I hope that clears things up.

I don't think it has anything to do with prestige, or atleast, it would be stupid, if you have a hero calling family suport all the time, in service of his realm, he loses prestige.
If he dies after such an honourble act, He should get more fame points instead of less.
Maybe it ahs something to do with how much he battled?
Or how long he is hero? - Nosferatus

No it's definitely prestige that dictates whether you get 1 or 3 fame points for a hero death. No idea what the prestige limit is, but my first hero that died got only one point. I got more later when a more Prestigious hero of mine died. - Revan
It's the other way around for me. My first dead hero was more prestigious than the second dead one, but I still gor only one for him. My second one got me 3 famde, and my third dead hero hasn't got me any. -Marouane 12:43, 29 August 2006 (CEST)
What about your heros (ex) titles?
Did he have titles or held some?
It could also just be, first death hero one point, second death hero 3 points. Nosferatus
They were both simple knights. No lordships, no marshal titles, no government positions ever. -Marouane 15:09, 29 August 2006 (CEST)
First hero ever died, general of Itorunt, 25 prestige, 60 honour before he died and from looking at my user page after 61 when he was dead, 1 fame. So if it is prestige, it's between 25 and 27 inclusive? --The1exile 22:08, 30 August 2006 (CEST)
My guess is that the first hero you get killed gives you 1 and the second gives you two. Did I nail it? Any thoughts? Shenron
You're wrong. --The1exile 17:33, 27 November 2006 (CET)

Recent Cleanup

Perhaps it would be an idea to list the possible sources of fame which have been removed as confirmed/proven not to give fame? (e.g. We'd put that first banning from a realm -whatever class- does not yield a fame point somewhere on the page). This would help stop other people coming later on and making the same mistake. - Revan 11:41, 25 November 2006 (CET)

Keep going

The good thing about all these guesses is that Tom might find out new ways to introduce new fame points =p. Van Peteghem 09:15, 3 February 2007 (CET)
