What the hell? This story is completely false, from A to Z. -Chénier 15:42, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Join the Dwilight University and write a counter article. --Ethan Lee Vita (Talk), Editor and Community Manager 17:12, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

OOC

It is not completely false. This stuff happened years ago, and i might not remember everything exactly. However, it is true as far as i remember it. I wasn't privy to the deal between Neel and Lyse/Delia, but i know it happened. Like Vita said, write a counter article, instead of flaming. I suggest watching this excellent episode. Enough of it is completely biased and untrue that I deem it worthy of the title of "completely false". Having the names of a few people who were important in the days isn't enough to make this worthy. For example, you claim Lyse arrived after the Everguard issue: She arrived only three days after Hericus, and was quickly made a lord and was a founding member of the Council of Lords, which was the group which decided to do away with the king and who selected the successor. Two candidates were considered by the Council of Lords, Neel was the latter of the two, put forth by Lyse and supported by the other lords (not that there was that many choice, there were only 2 eligible nobles so choosing a ruler was basically checking who had enough prestige and time in realm). As for his "supporters", Cato manipulated Neel into thinking he had the council of lords' support and that he demanded the dukeship, which Neel reluctantly agreed to. When the council of lords found out, they were outraged and demanded that not only the promise not be granted, but that he be completely rid of. Indeed, even though the "Council of Lords" was eventually made into a message group (was an informal association of the lords under duchess Zyrrin under Attius, then into a private message group including the lords loyal to duchess Zyrrin and the leaders they selected), Cato was never (or very shortly) put on it, despite being duke. These are but a few points about a tiny part of your article, the rest remains as uninformed and misinforming propaganda to make you and your little clique sound like heroes. The "tyranny" of Neel? You were protested out by the nobles of the realm, for banning someone who bluntly said how you were a power monger (and not for doubting nobility as you claim). Then, Hericus was made the most-banned, both formally and informally, of the continent and perhaps in the game. Every paragraph either has lies in it or incorrectly puts your faction on the spotlight, the whole thing is simply beyond repair. Writing the whole history of events would take longer then I could spare, and not every detail need always be public knowledge. People sought out the elderly for their wisdom back in the days, they should consider doing the same in BM. There's perspective, and then there's perspective. The edit conflicts on BT history can go along the lines of what you speak of, this is just full of incorrect events (see above for a few). Family pages confirm that Hericus arrived on the 20th, Lyse on the 23rd. About 10 days later, she was made lord of one of the first new (if not the first) regions of Springdale, White Plains, by Attius as per Zyrrin's request. Took two months for Hericus to ban her. -Chénier 03:42, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
I'd appreciate it if both of you would stay IC on the Dwilight University talk pages. --Ethan Lee Vita (Talk), Editor and Community Manager 06:48, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
It's a wiki talk page. IC communication should be in the game, not through external support which ignores wounds, realms, and other such communication restrictions. -Chénier 13:29, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
The wiki is IC, excepting the obvious ooc pages. Newspapers and their talk pages have been treated as IC for years; there is no reason we can't run Dwilight University talk pages the same way. --Ethan Lee Vita (Talk), Editor and Community Manager 17:06, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
