I was kind of sick of glaring at realm history every time I visited the ASI page. I've sectioned it off and intend to fill our realm page again soon. Consider it's current format temporary --Revan 22:04, 22 March 2007 (CET)

Propaganda/Inaccuracy

Just how new is this author??? "Abington moved it's capital to Riverholm to help pursue the war with ASI." Abington's capital has been Riverholm for over two years REAL TIME.. If you think Riverholm was recently established as the Capital, in some attempt to goad ASI, then you, the author, need to stop speaking as an authority on history and let someone else take over so they can correct the many glaring inaccuracies in this document... especially one claiming Abington moving it's capital to deal with ASI... Check your facts, people.

Two years Real Time actually supports the idea that it was moved to help in the attack on ASI. AHd it been moved within the last 6 months it would have been an illegal capital move. And ASI has been aganst Abington for donkeys years. --The1exile 10:45, 22 October 2006 (CEST)
Hardly.. I just know it's been over 2yrs real time since it was there before I even started the game.. It's been mentioned that it's actually been around 4 years ago, but for purposes of centralizing the captial thanks to "too far away" regions complaints about distance from the capital etc. Anywho, still makes the "to pursue war with ASI" a blatant propaganda attempt and not a recollection of actual events.
This can be a ""blatant propaganda attempt". It's their page. --The1exile 14:28, 22 October 2006 (CEST)

If it's just propaganda, it's fine, but it's factually wrong. I do not have an Abington character, but they've had the capitol there for at least 3 years, and it was changed back durring the time when Abington and ASI were allies. AlexTurner 16:41, 22 October 2006 (CEST)

"The aim of propaganda is to influence people's opinions or behaviors actively, rather than merely to communicate the facts about something." The fact being that the capital was moved at some point, the influence being the fact that they say it was done to threaten ASI. --The1exile 17:15, 22 October 2006 (CEST)
That could be, in which case, it's fine. There's no harm, however, in pointing out that it is not true, in case ASI wants the page to stay factual, as some realms have done. AlexTurner 17:35, 22 October 2006 (CEST)
Aww... but propaganda is soooo much more fun! ;) Vellos 17:53, 22 October 2006 (CEST)
If it's going to be successful propaganda, it has to have a chance of believeability. The article states that the capital was moved after Kybcyell was founded, which was less than 3 months ago. Only someone who's been in the game for an extremely short time would believe this - but then, why would they care? Surely a better tale than that can be crafted. Which is why I assumed this was a mistake, rather than a peice of propaganda. AlexTurner 00:45, 23 October 2006 (CEST)
Propaganda is better served in newspapers :-) I'll probably go re-write that paragraph on our most recent history a bit later, make it more accurate. - Revan 12:44, 23 October 2006 (CEST)
