After her appointment as Consul of Halcyon, Aveline Calder was gifted this beautiful ring by a hooded stranger. It is a simple gold band, but the lyrics of a song to the glory of Halcyon are inscribed upon it in small, beautiful script. That is, this is what the mysterious man said from behind the cowl of his heavy black robes. The script is unlike anything used in all the languages known to the wisemen in Halcyon. Consul Aveline has declared the ring to be a cultural art piece that shall be passed down from ruler to ruler.
