Shoka
Region Description
The Townsland surrounding the city of Shokalom, known simply as Shoka, is one of current bolstering growth and production. Once the city and townsland were incorporated into the Republic of Terran, and their military forces began ensuring the protection of the region, settlers began flocking to the area, mostly from Terran proper, but also from surrounding regions where the people lacked such protections.
The Phantarian Forest grows into the northeastern areas of Shoka and have provided the region with plenty of lumber for new homes, markets, stables and other infrastructure necessary to support the growing number of inhabitants in both Shoka itself, but in Shokalom as well.
The inland sea which borders the northwest of Shoka, known as the Silent Rush, provides fishing and most of the farmland for the region, indeed much of the clear coastline has provided room for settlement, especially for many of the settlers coming from Vassar and Inklen seeking the protection the Republic provides from monsters and other hazards.
The western and southeastern areas of Shoka provide small amounts of decent farmland. However, it is limited in space, due in large part to the quickly expanding townsland that encircles the city of Shokalom and the fact that southern Shoka quickly fades into the badlands of the Zuma Deepness.
