Saenna
With good timberlands along the more temperate lands along the river and the southeast corner both, wood is central to the people of Saenna. The mills along the river produce more than enough to support the local villages and manor houses, with plenty to trade. Fishing along the river is common, and combined with the orchards along the riverbanks provide a reasonable diet, and the logging communities in the southeast enjoy plenty of hunting and trapping.
The manor houses are often built around hot springs, and occasionally include spas for the local nobility, with others remaining wild.
The Bridge (the name is debated endlessly with the people of Bieth, so most simply refer to "the" bridge) ensures steady travel of both traders and armies, and travelers are a common sight along the river. The southern tundra is much less traveled, and strangers are viewed with suspicion.
