History

Long ago, there was a famed viking captain named Ralag Halagrim. Ralag was an expert warrior and an even better looter. Nobles from throughout the northern tundras of Atamara sought his services when they went to battle and profited greatly from Ralag's ruthless skill in searching out plunder.

Ralag became an expert interrogator and used brutal methods of torture to extract the location of hidden gold from his captives. Ralag's signature tool of torture was the large multi-colored feather he always kept in his cap. Ralag developed hundreds of ways to use this feather to torture his victims and the item became so infamous that many villages would give up all of their possessions rather than face the wrath of Ralag's Feather of Pain. After Ralag's death, many of his underlings began wearing similar feathers and spreading the terror of the feather across the island.
