Poryatu

Protecting the art and culture of Poryatown from the surrounding wilds, Poryatu stands as the last bulwark of civilization on the south side of the perilous Divide Mountains. Rolling pasturelands criss-crossed with hedgerows run right to the edge of the jagged cliffs lining the eastern sea shore. In summer, when the sea is calm enough, the adventurous explore the many caves and hidden beaches at the base of the mighty cliffs. Poryatu has a marketplace, making it a popular spot with traders, lords, and stewards from the surrounding regions.
The people of Poryatu are hard-working and resilient. Production is seldom slow, even with frequent raids by the bands of orcs and trolls that prowl in the surrounding area. The region supports several active militia units and recruitment centers -- the sons of Poryatu know well the need for vigilance and strength.
