Ambrosius Mortis is the 3rd and current Patriarch of the Noble Mortis Family. Knight of Minas Ithil in Atamara, he is a vassal of Count Grahm Leafwalker of Lyton. He is a proud member of the Templar Order.

22 years old, Ambrosius is a man with common stature, with carefully kept ebony hair and night coloured eyes. Nevertheless do not underestimate the strength of his arm, for it is mighty enough to weild the mighty Death Scythe, the heirloom weapon of the Mortis, passed down from Patriarch to Patriarch. Commonly however, he weilds the greatsword Gladius, preferring that the Scythe remain in Mansion Mortis, for its protection.

His first act as Patriarch was to hold what has been known as The First Reunion. In here he delivered his speech, to have a larger part in the histories of the world.

Transcription of the First Reunion Speech by Ambrosius Mortis

Dear descendants of death weilding Rigorian, lend me your ears, and awake your senses that you may the better judge. I, Ambrosius, Patriarch of our noble family, have summoned you to this gathering, to direct and ask your advice. In the past years, our family has had little fame nor infamy, preferring to gather gold and to leave the politics to the other nobles. Ofcourse, we do, on occasion, go to the courts, as is proper for the stature. Nevertheless, we have been as leaves dropped on the flowing argent river, purposeless, and drifting in the direction that the fates take us.

Thus I propose that we captain our lives, and pilot our fortune. The name Mortis shall be known, and the histories shall not forget her. The world shall cease to direct us! We shall start directing the world!!!

Travel on then, to hither and yonder, to continents unknown and realms obscure. Be a man of arms! Or perhaps a man of letters! Or even, a prophet, it is no matter! There is honour in arms, wisdom in letters, and salvation in faith, and fame for all!

Honour, Prestige and Fame shall be ours. The world shall know our name. Rise Mortis, and reach the greatness that is before you!
