“Why You Should Get Up and Do Something Even Though It Might Ruin You”

This time, the realm central to our story is Nifel. There, the Nifelians bred mighty heroes. Big strong men and women who wielded weapons double their height and triple their weight. These heroes laughed when times were at their worst and constantly ignored the pleas and orders of their mothers to stay home and stay safe. One day, a hero named Lomo decided he was not going to help his heroic friends slay a dragon and stayed home. Fortunately for him, the dragon ate all of his friends when they tried to slay it. If he had gone with them, his mother told him, he would be dead too. This dragon went off to boast to his dragon friends about how he beat a troupe of Nifelian heroes and that they should come with him to feed off these weak and tasty people. Two more dragons flew to the realm and feasted on whole villages of peasants. A band of heroes set off to kill the dragons but when they invited Lomo he refused. Staying home with his mother, he loafed about his estate and dined on sweets and fruits. The news returned that the band of heroes was devoured by all three dragons and that the main dragon grew twice the size it originally was. Lomo’s mom said that it was a good thing he did not go with the band for he would have been eaten too. Lomo agreed. The three dragons terrorized Northnastrond eating and burning everyone and everything. After a short while, the Nifelians organized an army of heroes to attack the dragons, and again, when Lomo was invited he refused. Just as earlier, the dragons annihilated the hero army. Then, the main dragon got greedy to rule the realm and after he killed both of his friends he went and ate the King of Nifel! By now, the main dragon was massive and terrifying. Lomo remained in his home eating and farting while his people were subjugated to the despotic rule of this fearsome ever hungry creature. Decades passed and eventually Lomo died of heart failure. Upon the death of Lomo, Nifel's final hero, the Tyrant Dragon abolished the hero class and ruled for two thousand millennia until its own death. Afterwards, the Nifelians were left as uneducated, ignoble, uncourageous peasants with no glory and no ability to reconstruct their once great civilization. This was due to their time under the Tyrant Dragon who cultivated them as slaves and cattle. Now you know that you should act despite certain doom. If not you risk humiliation and hatred in the legends of our people just like that loser whip Lomo.
