When Tyrion, Captain of the Rangers of the North arrived in K'Dira it was at the mercy of a great monster horde. These beasts were the infamous Ice boars of Niselur. Though in the civilized lands these beasts were all but extinct, K'dira was teaming with them, they plagued the lands beyond the major settlements. Their leader, was Twrch Trwyth (:turx 'truïþ) a most insidious beast, so clever were his evasions of traps that some claimed he was a man turned beast by a dark wizard.
For hours Tyrion stalked the beast and his herd of monstrous swine. Drew Twrch Trwyth away from his den with a series of bear traps, the alpha monster prided itself on defeating these devices and seizing the bait.
In the monster's absense Tyrion descended upon the den and slaughtered the nine offspring of Twrch Trwyth. In their lair he found the body of a strange sage, upon his finger was a ring adorned with three red gems. Tyrion placed the ring upon his finger and immediately the meaning of the gems was clear. He felt the pulse of the blood stars. A voice spoke in his mind, it was Tyrion's own voice, yet it felt foreign. "Prepare yourself Twrch Trwyth is near, he will be enraged to see his children dead, hide amongst their carcasses and slay him in his mourning."
Foul as the dead boars smelled Tyrion lay amongst them. Sure enough Twrch Trwyrth returned and began sniffing and prodding the corpses of his slain brood. When the monster neared Tyrion, he thrust his sword into its neck.
Twrch Trwyrth was no more, and the Holy Girdle of K'Dira was revealed to the world.
