CE-Logo.png Cagil Tournament Cutting it Close

Greetings, fair readers! A total of 178 nobles from 13 realms paid the 10 gold entrance fee and entered the tournament grounds at Cagil in hopes of gaining the winner's honours and the 1000 gold first place prize (500 gold for second place) in the sword ring. This is the way! Lady Klaxin of Minas Ithil bested Sir Apollon of Darka in the final round. It was a very close match, congratulations to the champion!

The Especially Generous
A list of gracious guests in a giving mood

Quintus(3), Keiichi, Aeric, Evelyn, Argon, Faeryl, Anaplian, Enri, Theoras, Jamis, Agarwaen-----Janek, Bakr Ubaid, Kartet, Latimer, Qaratai, Herotious, Swanger, Emiel, Leonora, Kaya, Spartan, Cornelius, Salvador, Leto, Sven, Gothar, Anne, Jyotis, Jura, Chus, Britnoth, Oberyn, Woodford, Famie, Caibre, Cabzios, Famine.

Not exactly the outpouring of rounds we witnessed at the last tournament by the hands of DrSeptre, but Cagil's beer fest was impressive in its own right given that the majority was handed out in the final days of the tournament. Names in bold brought us multiple rounds while the dashes down stopped at one (to the best of our knowledge, we admit, the common room was rather a blur at times).

Close Call
The tournament in Cagil came close to being a total bust in terms of intrigue, but the fiery young Eemoss McGahee pulled through in the final day before the festivities and rallied the sleepers. His bold confidence and daring display of disdain for Suville caught the attention of the crowd, leading to a string of arguments ranging between the insult status of the term "excessively suave" to a lack of reading skills and scribe-control on the part of the participants. Needless to say, having an Atamaran tournament without some sort of in-your-face heated discussion just wouldn't be very Atamaran of us, so, well done. But we're still a little worried that it took six days to get going despite the amount of armed nobles floating around in a cloud of free alcohol...really Atamara, you've gone soft.
Bored Bastards of Bedlem
Do you find yourself picking up strange idle hobbies for a lack of excitement? Longing for a spot of mischief in your ho-hum not-all-it's-cracked-up-to-be life? You are not alone! Knight Belcer Paulandon of Tara invites you to join his newly formed "gentleman's club", affectionately dubbed the Bored Bastards of Bedlam. All that's required to enter is boredom, a somewhat deviant personality, and a cask of ale. When asked about the details of his club, Knight Belcer provided us with this statement:

Well, it is quite simple, you see. Atamara is dull. There are hardly ever any real wars, and when there is one, it is nothing more than glob the realm's army in one place, wait until the weekend has passed, and attack; refit, repeat the cycle. Dull.

The Bored Bastards of Bedlam is a Ladies' and Gentlemen's Club serving to promote Dueling, Looting, Monster Fighting and all other forms of entertainment.

We are a non-political club. Our Motto is, "Rulers of Atamara, here are your Taxes, and here you will find no Treachery; Now scrap your laws and leave us Alone."

All interested parties should contact Knight Belcer by letter

In The Name of the Queen
In the interest of clarity, we're keeping this short. The brave (or suicidal) Arthar Westfall, knight of Dampinn, is accepting any and all challenges from those nobles who hold a grudge against his Queen, Lady Aeryn of Suville. Please form an orderly line.
Passing Looks
While looking for a place to pitch his tent Gnaeus got a look at Khaludh, but looked away, and then went to look for Kartet, who was looking out at the grounds but happened to look up and spot him looking. Khaludh, while looking around his camp, looked at Gnaeus who was looking at him before he quickly looked away, but Khaludh wasn't really looking at all. We were looking on in confusion, wondering what was up with all the looks.

From Lady Kalxin, Champion of the Sword!

For advice to aspiring sword fighters, I can only suggest to take up a role of a bounty hunter. It is how I honed my skill and I am quite good at it.

For the prize money, I will probably expand my family wealth, so long as my brother Corwin hasn't taken the family coffers for himself. If he has, then I will end his life.

As for my "adoring public" I have only one thing to say. Atamara is a dangerous place. It's my birthplace and it breeds the strong of this world. Make your home country proud, and may whatever gods there be curse you should you betray.

Klaxin D'Saferate (Noble)

Unique Items Spotted
Amidst the countless wasters, practice lances, sets of dull armor, and fine but admittedly bland fashion were a few prized items that caught our eye. Viscount Celestial Fury was spotted wielding the Black Longsword of Flame during a practice match (rather over doing it don't you think?). Quite impressive, we assure you. Lord Fury was also spotted reading from the Dazzling Book of the Dead, something along the the lines of Ucdauh! Ippetimbal! Joppo! Puutl! Osskelemightskel! while trying to free his sword from a practice dummy. Or something like that, when there's incantations involved, we don't ask questions. Finally, Sir Escent Noble was spotted wearing a rather unique hat, but we're not sure that "unique" is the word everyone would use...
