After searching the area for 2 hours, following trails and noises, Hognu finally encountered a warband of militant, heavily armed undead. They were led by an undead champion, an evil creature with more power and intelligence than the usual lot. Because Hognu was close to home and familiar with the lay of the land, he was able to use the terrain to his advantage. The battle raged, Hognu against the undead. His blows landed true, shattering them to dust left and right. The champion makde Hognu sweat; he was quite the opponent. But in the end, he was just a pile of bones, too. Among what was left of the champion, Hognu found a unique item among the loot, the "Elemental Nightblade".

Wielding the blade allows the bearer to see in low light as if it were daylight and in absolute darkness as if it were low light.
