Appearance & Personality

There is little doubt as to the lineage of Blais de Ravenal. The telltale sandy blonde hair, pale blue eyes, 5'10" but with a core training designed to make up for his lack of height, he is every bit the son of Tharion de Ravenal. He is far more outspoken and headstrong than his father, not afraid to risk his reputation in order to make his point known or right a perceived wrong. Raised outside of the courtly intrigues and ongoing inter-realm politics he sees the lay of the land in a neutral state, currently bound by no feelings of loyalty or enmity to the realms that surround Aenilia.

He is a firm believer in the Aenil although he has a tendency to favor Amriel and Varro above others.

History

Son of Tharion de Ravenal, High King of Greater Aenilia, Blais spent his formative years within the deep tangle of the Woods of Varro, the large expanse of trees that dominate central Aenilia. His father needed for nothing, bringing along considerable wealth and thus Blais was afforded the luxury of direct education and training, however he was never aware of his family's true heritage. He lived a somewhat unremarkable, if highly unorthodox upbringing and grew into a capable young man. Shortly before his death, Tharion told his son the true story of his life and handed over the possessions and proof that he would need in order to reclaim his rightful place in the Aenilian nobility.

Burying his father deep within the heart of the land that he called home, Blais made preparations for a return to Idapur. His claims went undisputed and he soon took up estates in Arempos, giving his oath of service to Lord Optimus McGahee. Within a short time he was appointed as Marshal to the Aenilic Wings which signaled his first real advancement within the realm's hierarchy.
