Daubeny Family/Elizabeth
Biography
Elizabeth is the sole child of Hervis Daubeny. She is often timid and shy, but incredibly curious and inquisitive, often displaying knowledge and foresight far beyond her years.
Despite being a direct descendant of Hervis Daubeny, her appearance is far more akin that of the Stone Family, with darker skin and a softer accent with a mix of the facial structure and trademark beauty of the Sunstone Daubenys. She displays a affinity for the arcane and an ability to feel magical energies around her as well as being incredibly empathetic almost able to sense the emotions of those around her.
Early Years
Elizabeth was young when the Siege of Sunstone took her home and most of her family away from her. She spent nearly 8 years on the run with her Uncle Valian, travelling from the Isle to the far lands of East Continent and even spending a short month on the Colonies, these months passed mostly uneventfully, with no major interaction with any realm.
This changed when Valian decided to take Elizabeth in search of her uncle Marcus.
Arrival to Obia'Syela and Keffa
On her ninth birthday Elizabeth was taken to Obia'Syela and placed under the protection of the Prelate and Grandmistress, though she was still threatened and even imprisoned by the Grand Templar when her Uncle Valian had a spat with the theocratic realm. Though she was later taken in by the Prelate and cared for.
She began to show a high attunement to magic, often hearing magical energies as music in her mind, she also seemed to be a very empathic young girl, often being able to feel quite literally what other's felt, this had the averse that she at times would become overwhelmed by the emotions and energies she felt around her causing a violent and volatile outburst, capable of pushing people back and even shattering windows.
During the Pillar Event at Keffa she would have such an outburst due to the negative energies felt from the pain and death in the city. She would assist the Prelate and Lady Pryde perform rites to Obeah to try and sway the pillar's powers towards Obia'Syela. Though a failed scroll cast led to the Pillar's energies lashing out negatively causing the girl great pain.
The ordeal seemed to leave a lasting effect on the girl physically as her once teal eyes remained a dim gold that would cause her eyes to almost seemingly glow when she cast magic or sung invocations to the Goddess.
Tutelage under the Prelate
Valian, blaming himself for Elizabeth's sufferings left her in the care of the Prelate to be raised and trained by the Priestess to become a true Obian, she would eventually learn all the invocations of Obeah and be of great aid to the Prelate when she performed her rites. She grew up well under the Prelate, becoming more confident and happy then she had before, even getting the chance to be able to talk to her dead Uncle Marcus.
