Aeron held the line behind the archers, a lone Itau Spearman surged forward out of line and into the undead, their early charge shocked Aeron and turned to Captain Dirlen, who gave him a nod. He strode forward the Dawn Guard marching alongside him. The monsters were several trolls, their hulking light grey forms charged forward roaring and swinging wildly.

The Dawn Guard surged past the archers and snapped into a shield wall six feet from the archers. They held their ground as the monsters and undead slammed into them, the Dawn Guard held their ground and didn't let the enemy break through.

The trolls slammed down and the silver soldiers quickly began to take heavy casualties, Aeron almost panicked and he began to worry how long they would be able to hold the tide of death back. Aeron's gaze flicked behind him and saw Haide and Nalaya amongst the archers. He had to protect them, he had to protect them all. Aeron felt something hit him and was sent flying a few feet.

Sliding across the ground, Aeron stopped but a foot away from the archer line, Aeron sighed and gasped, rolling onto his side he coughed and spat blood. He looked back to the Dawn Guard and growled, he stood despite the outcry of pain that shot through his body. He staggered forward as his hand wrapped around his sword's hilt, his vision blurred as he realized that his glasses were shattered and ruined. He threw them off his face and pushed forward.

He could see blurs, shapes of silvers, greys and bone that threatened to melt together from the blood in his eyes. He slashed and stabbed fluidly with a speed that came as a shock to himself as he danced around the battlefield, a whirlwind of blades and fury as he screamed. "FOR TOL GOLDORA!"

He fought for as long as he could until he realized he was alone, the other Dawn Guard either laid dead around him or had withdrawn due to their wounds. But Aeron couldn't stop, he had to fight, he had to keep them safe.

Another flash of pain hit him as a sword slashed across his right side and then another across his back, he fell to a knee and slashed out wildly at the unseen enemies. He tried to push on, to keep fighting. Arrows whizzed around and past him, they were winning. The archers were still shooting which meant he was doing it.

He just had to keep fighting, he just had-

A flash of pain slammed into him as a wooden shield was bashed into the side of his head, he fell to the side and tried one last time to stand up before a boney foot slammed onto his slashed back and Aeron felt the darkness of unconsciousness take him.
