History

According to the legend the cursed jacket used to be a normal jacket owned by a king of a long lost kingdom. The king was ambitious though, and sent his knights out throughout the realm to bring him any items of magic they could find. One of these knights stumbled upon a trio of witches that lived in a swamp, and demanded they provide him with magic for his lord. Perturbed but seeing an opportunity to cause trouble the trio told the knight to bring them the King's jacket and that they would make it magical. He did so, and the women made the jacket so gloriously beautiful that it surpassed any other garment in it's splendor.

The king was ecstatic at the find, and quickly proceeded to show off his find to all who would see. Other rulers who saw him in the garment though were filled with envy, and began plotting the king's downfall. It was only a few short years before the Cursed Jacket passed into the hands of one of the usurpers, and a few months after that that it was stolen by another ruler. The envy and jealousy the garment wrought among those who saw it became synonymous with it, and eventually became seen as a curse. Whether the witches planted some sort of curse to cause envy or just knew the envious nature of mankind is not clear, but to this day the garment continues to see use by various nobles.

Most recently the cursed jacket has resurfaced in D'Hara.
