The mace impresses any who look upon it by its complete lack of adornments. Its shape, size and cold grey colour communicate clearly the purpose for which it was made. It is not a weapon for parades, but one for crushing mercilessly through enemies in battle.
It is said to have been forged without fire out of pure "mountain-metal", a strange steel that never rusts, nuggets of which are sometimes found in the mountains.
