Carna Family/Neleron

From BattleMaster Wiki

Sir Neleron Carna was born in Trawiy, his family's ancestral home, twenty years prior to his becoming an active noble in the realm. With his other brothers Sahar and Kalak, as well as their cousin Raedir and various tutors, his education was standard for those of noble birth. Horse riding, sword fighting, strategy, litrature, the manners of court, the running of an estate. In each of these areas he showed himself proficient above and beyond the skills of his siblings. As such, he was provided gold, a family guard unit and a letter of introduction.

From his family's estate, he wrote his local lord, Viscount Gorm Baulr, seeking a position as a Knight in his service. As the Viscount had already more Knights than he needed, he instead referred Neleron to address the Imperial Senate, which he did, and to which two major offers were opened - a Knight of Cagil or Calis. While both Dukes provided excellent motivation to become a Knight in their service, he was eventually won over by Shanka Foonfa Courcelle, Duke of Cagil, as Cagil was both his home Duchy and the capital of the Cagilan Empire.

Assigned to the Pax Cagila army by his new liege, he served under Marshal Merlin Silverfire in the battles fought against Falasan to the north. During this time, Neleron also exchanged letters with his Mentor, Marquess Famine Rider and Viscount Enri Kinsey, a man he considered his "second mentor". Less than a month into his time as an active member of the Nobility and the position of Earl of Ansalle became vacant and, as the Empire is considered a republic, the position came before the Imperial Senate to decide on. Again, he addressed the august body and is told two others of influence spoke in his favour. Despite others interested in the responsibility (the leader of The Word, a large religion in the Empire, and Lady Caris who had became quite well known through her leadership in battle against internal threats), Neleron won the Senate vote with support greater than the next two contenders. An almost unheard of victory, given his short time.

Since then, he has became active in the Senate discussing various matters of note and has also joined the controversial Imperial Movement Guild as second to Earl Velkyn, the movement's founder. He continues his work on the battlefields with the Pax Army and has high expectations for the future of the Empire.
