Stargard falls, Sullenport follows!

The two major cities in Redspan have officially fallen. Indeed it is the end of an era. Let us remember the valiant fallen of all sides of the war. With the former capital of Redspan having been liberated by the Tarans the war has just about reached its conclusion. Through the tireless effort of CE, Tara, Tallerium, and Carelia this war has ended quickly minimizing the suffering of the people. Already shipments of food is being dispersed to the local population, to speed along an end to the suffering. I bow my head to the alliance, and the miraculous job they had done.

New Realms, New problems, New Leaders!!!!

Over the past week, so much has happened we can hardly keep up. It seems as though daily we have news that seemed unthinkable the day preceeding it. Our own Carelia has a new King the Archpriest of Carelia, Garthon has stepped to the throne. A detailed account will be forthcoming over the next coming weeks as this story has not reached a conclusion. Continuing with this, Abington has seen many recent sucessions and may indeed still see more, we at the Carelian Times take no official stance yet as the details on exactly who is in charge are sketchy. Revolt upon revolt looms over Abington so without a true and stable leader one can not justify placing trust in the judgement or word of the current government simply to have it washed away like the stench of Redspan. As Carelia is long known to stand by its obligations, we in Carelia must wait to see what happens when the dust settles before making any proclamations. A new realm from the sucession borders our own leaving angst in Carelia over this development. Just who will end up in charge and what his views are may very well decide the future of Atamara and the landscaping of its great nations. Many here are wary of another madman sitting upon the throne bordering our own. As it has been recently discovered by those in Abington, their former leader was mad. We in Carelia have long known this, it is nice to see the rest of Abington catching up. Our hearts do however go out to the population in Abington suffering from such inner conflict. This once mighty nation remains a shadow of its former self. Hopefully with a stable, and sane government, agreements can be reached. Whether or not Abington or its sucessions succeed remains to be seen. Our prayers go out to the newly elected King Garthon as his job now will be a difficult one indeed.
