Mathias was wandering through the forests of Thysan looking for an adventure when he came upon a cave hidden by immense overgrowth. Being the dashing young hero he was, he carefully pushed aside the overgrowth and crept into the cavern. He heard strange sounds as he grew deeper and deeper into the heart of the cave. All of a sudden his torch blew out. As his night vision slowly grew better he started seeing strange forms surrounding him. He lit the torch with his flint and saw that he was surrounded by monsters. He quickly drew his sword and slashed left and right, spraying the think green goo that was the monsters blood left and right. The monsters fled and Mathias thought that he had won the day when the ground started trembling under his feet. Then he saw it, it front of him was a giant cave troll blocking the only exit. After a fierce battle and several close calls his sword broke on the head of the mighty beast. Mathias noticed hidden behind a pillar the famed Axe of Fire. Being a mere commoner he knew he should not attempt to evoke its power but in his time of need he had no other choice. He dove at the great Axe and flung it straight into the skull of the cave troll. upon impact the monsters head exploded but because he was merely a commoner with no noble rights the axe had broken as well.
