The Gauntlets of Blood dates back long ago, before even the first kingdoms arose in the land of Beulaterra. The gauntlets were originally part of a complete set of armour adorned by an unknown warrior of one of the tribes. When the first wave of evil swept across this continent, the tribes united to defend their lands. However, they were too late, and suffered many set backs. Then one day, the unknown warrior took to the battlefield and was slain by an undead champion. His comrades were able to carry his mutilated body back to the camp. Then, the greatest shamans of the tribes made a Ritual of Blood upon the dead warrior's gauntlets, blessing its future owners with great powers. However, even with the help of the gauntlets, the tribes were only barely able to hold back the hordes of undead and monsters...

Thousands of years has passed since the death of the warrior. The undead and monster hordes were eventually beaten back, however, the Gauntlets of Blood were lost soon after. It was the year 2007 of the Common Era, 10000 years since the creation of the gauntlets. A young adventurer, Quake ThunderSpear made his way to a cave on the plains of Ardmore. He had been informed of intense activity of undead in the region and wanted to see for himself how powerful these undead really are.

"Grrrr...."

Whoa...that certainly makes it clear... Quake thought as he approached the cave.

Quake charged into the cave with sword in hand...but soon found himself surrounded by undead. However, the creatures were no match for Quake. After a short battle, Quake soon disposed of them.

"That was easy..." Quake mummured as he shattered the last of the zombies into dust.

"Are you sure?" suddenly a cold voice from deeper inside the cavern called out.

Out walked a zombie unlike any Quake had ever seen! Clad in shining mail and carrying a huge longsword in one hand, the undead smiled and said, "I wouldn't want to disappoint you."

"Don't worry," Quake replied with a grim smile. "You didn't"

In the short but intense battle that followed, Quake quickly finished the undead. From its dust-turned body, Quake picked up a pair of wonderful gauntlets.

These look interesting... Quake thought as he slowly walked out of the cave...
