The Black Rose was discovered within the capital city of Taselak just as the tides of ware turned the ever warring kingdom started to turn. It's discovery was seen as a clear sign that fate was on Taselak's side, and victory was on the horizon.

Originally owned by Keeper Lucius Pemrose, the Black Rose was a symbol of his unwavering commitment to protecting Taselak and profound reject of the horrors of war. At the end of the final Beppo War, he gave a white thornless rose to his lover, Therese Gillotine and kept the Black Rose for himself.

The Black Rose is perpetually wilting, with wrinkled, brittle petals crumbling into dust at the slightest touch. Only its sharp thorns remain as hard and sharp as ever. It is said that it can only be freshened by tears.

After the destruction of Taselak, the Rose was lost. On 2023-03-24 Redbald of Sandalak found the Rose while traveling to a small village in the mountains of Lesthem.
