Biography

Knighthood

Baelric began his life in Luria Nova rising to knigthhood from his families estates in Shinnen at a young age. He served within the city for some time before moving and taking a new estate within the capital of Luria at Askileon. In his years serving from his Askileon estate he participated in numerous tournaments, events, and campaigns as a knight in service to the then Suzerain Emperor Bruce Wilde. Some of these included:

Local Lord

It was shortly after these events as Baelric was entering his thirtieth year that he was given lordship of Askileon Purlieus by the recently appointed Heliacal that rose to replace Bruce Wilde, Wassgandr Felsenbach. Baelric proved to be a fairly neglectful lord, choosing to spend his time campaigning with the army, fighting in tournaments, seeking our duels, and generally continuing to act like a knight despite his new title. Despite this he was further appointed lord of the city of Shinnen, his families ancestral home, a short while later. He and his retinue the Blades of Conquest went of to participate in the following events during this time:

• The Raid of Aegir Deep
• The D'Haran War

Death

Baelric died in battle during the D'Haran war in the Second Battle of Nebel. He was killed by Salvador Zond of D'Hara in a pitched melee confrontation after having been wounded several time by enemy arrow fire. Notable scholar reported his great folly came when he led his men out of the protective walls of his fortified position and exposed himself and his men to the full force of the enemy army alone. This has led some to continue to call a premature sallying out a "Baelric's Blunder".
